Chemo number 11 today!

After today, Lorelei will only have to endure one more chemo treatment. Unfortunately, her eyebrows couldn't hang on this long. (Attached picture reflects her feelings about that.) So for now she draws them on. At least they lasted longer than the hair on her head! And hair grows back.

We were able to enroll Lorelei in Classes at OSU yesterday. She'll move into her dorm on August 12. She'll travel the road between Stillwater and ProCure in OKC every day for the early days of her life in Stilly, but once done with radiation I'm afraid I'll rarely see her. My baby is almost out of the nest. This momma is full of conflicting emotions.

She's declared a double major in Strategic Communications and Spanish. (Thank you Oklahoma City Thunder for your role in this and for giving her an internship next summer to explore this more fully.)

We'll be going "chemo dark" after today for a few days till Lorelei is able to eat again. These last few rounds of chemo are rough. But Lorelei is tougher.

Thanks for keeping Lorelei in your prayers. You know you are in hers!

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. —2 Corinthians 4:16–17
