Most Beautiful IV Bag in the World

Lorelei has survived her first day of this round of RICE chemo. Granted, she won't begin the Ifosfamide (the worst nausea culprit) till tomorrow. We have high hopes that this time will be much better. The photo here is of the non-formulary Emend we fought so hard to get since it worked for Lorelei through her ABVD treatments at ICIO. Isn't it beautiful?

Also, today she lost all her hair. It had been growing back since July 12 and was almost an inch long. But it's totally gone now. She commented that she had just become used to the bathroom floor not feeling so cold against her head and now she has to get used to that all over again. (It's the little things you don't appreciate about hair till it's gone.)

We've watched five movies so far today. My favorite of these was Mean Girls.

Now I'm going to stop trying to make fetch happen.

As a mother of four, I think about you often and wonder how you do it. It is so hard to see your children sick. My heart goes out to you. Lorelei is a beautiful girl - with, or without hair. I don't know her personally, but I love following her story and seeing her spirit. She's pretty special.

I will keep you all in my prayers - praying that God gives you strength and courage to win this battle. He's got this.
