S&B Burger Joint Fundraiser Sept 20

S&B's Burger Joint has planned a special "Pay It Forward" day on Thursday, September 20th to benefit Lorelei Decker!  The event benefiting Lorelei will happen only at the 5929 N. May location--same parking lot as Best Buy. (A Decker family friend Denise McConnell is the general manager.)  Lorelei will receive 10% of the proceeds from all sales this day. They open at 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the Elvis Burger and Thanksgiving Fry.  (Calories don't count if the purchase benefits a worthy cause, right?) But here's the rest of the menu.

Please plan to have lunch or dinner at S&B's Burger Joint on Thursday, September 20th!  Thank you!

Im an employee at the S&B Burger off May just recently was hired and had no idea till this evening we were doing this. This morning around 10:40 am my Girlfriends family friend passed away of Hodgkins Lymphoma and also will be accepting donations for the Lorlei foundation. I will be working this Sat. and will be working for all who have been fighting or have fought through this aweful cancer that has taken so many.

Laurann Katherine Gateley, age 22, went home to God today in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in November 2007, and spent the next five years fighting courageously.

Laurann was born on February 2, 1990, and was named for her grandmothers, Laura Pace and Ann Gateley. She was a 2008 graduate of Edmond’s Santa Fe High School and a member of Life Church.

She was gifted with many artistic talents but excelled in poetry and journaling. She left us with numerous journals full of precious memories. Laurann’s witty and lively sense of humor taught us to live life to the fullest and never give up. What a blessing she was, such a hero to so many. She leaves a wonderful testimony and legacy of strength and courage. Laurann’s short life inspired and impacted many and will continue as her story is shared.

Laurann is survived by her mother Cynthia Jan Pace, father and step-mother Jimmy R.& Debbie Gateley, grandmother Laura Elizabeth Welsh Pace, sister and brother-in-law Hollee Elizabeth Caldwell and Warren Price Caldwell, brother Joshua David Gateley, and her greatest love, niece, Kamdyn Elizabeth Caldwell, all residents of Edmond.

She was preceded in death by her older brother, Ray Britton (Britt) Gateley, and grandparents Hays Gateley, Ann Gateley and Frank Pace.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday September 14, 2012 at Life Church Edmond Campus, 1-35 and 2nd Street, officiated by Laurann’s former youth pastor, Jason Whitlock. Her ashes will be laid to rest next to her brother, Britt, at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond.

In lieu of flowers, Laurann’s family has asked that donations be made to the Lorelei Decker Support Trust. Donations can be made at any MidFirst Bank or online at http://loreleidecker.com/support-lorelei

As Christians, our greatest comfort is the assurance we will see her again in Heaven.

I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
