Lorelei took "the call" from her MD Anderson doctor this evening. The news was not good. This is what she posted to Caring Bridge:

My doctor from MD Anderson called and said that my biopsy results are consistent with persistent Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Not news we wanted to hear but were certainly prepared for.
The next step is to go down to Houston and begin treatments of a drug called Brentuximab. We want to do the first couple of treatments there to see how my body reacts to the drug. We are praying that there are no allergic reactions. I will be there for two days. The actual infusion time is only about 30 minutes.
We are fully aware of the overwhelming expenses of traveling. Traveling for medical reasons is even worse! So we have to do a lot of searching around in order to get the most cost effective flight that will be best for my health as well. We are hoping to leave on Wednesday or very early Thursday morning. Let us know if you know of a corporate flight we could hitch a ride on.
You are such a blessing to me and to my family. Your support is priceless.
Cancer sucks. But my heart is full of Joy from the Lord. Please continue praying for me. Fighting cancer is hard. Many times I become frustrated that my treatments don't work and bitter that I am fighting while "everyone" around me is going to college or getting married or having babies.. Or getting hair cuts ;) But I know that this is Satan trying to utilize the difficulties in my life to turn me away from God. I know that it is my flesh that sees the good and joy in everyone else's life and not their hurt. My flesh makes me feel this way but it's the Holy Spirit that gives me hope and peace and joy to face tomorrow!!!
